Men's PGfrom ₹9,000Every PG we cover in the city, by the area you'd actually live in.
Most PG hunting in Chennai comes down to one question: how far are you willing to sit in traffic. Start with the area, not the listing.
Find a PG in Chennai

Most people in Chennai pay ₹6,500–9,000 a month — the middle half of 4949 room prices owners have listed with us.
A PG cannot ask you for more than three months' rent as a deposit, and must return it within one month of you moving out.
Section 11, Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017. On a ₹7,500 room that caps the deposit at ₹22,500. General information, not legal advice.
Read the ActA sample of what owners have listed with us city-wide. Open an area below to see everything in it.
Tell us where you work and what you can spend, and we will point you at the areas that actually fit before you start opening listings.
Start from your office and work outward, because commute time is what most of the decision turns on. If you work on the IT corridor, the area pages here cover the stretch from Taramani south to Siruseri, each with its own rent distribution. If your work might move into the city, Velachery is the usual hedge because it reaches both.
It varies enough by area that a single city average would mislead you. Each area page publishes the actual distribution by sharing configuration with the number of rooms behind every figure, so you can compare like for like. Taramani and Thiruvanmiyur sit at the expensive end of the corridor, Padur and Kelambakkam at the lowest.
Not yet. Corridor 3 runs from Madhavaram to SIPCOT and will serve the whole OMR stretch, but nothing on the corridor is operating today and the line is currently tracking to 2027. The MRTS through Taramani, Thiruvanmiyur and Velachery is the working rail option in the meantime.
No more than three months' rent, and it has to come back to you within one month of you moving out. That is Section 11 of the Tamil Nadu Regulation of Rights and Responsibilities of Landlords and Tenants Act, 2017. Get the agreement in writing whatever the amount.
